This year in April, we had the great honour to present to the community the Australian Welsh Male Choir.
This Choir is based in Frankston and was formed in 1973. It is the oldest Welsh Male Choir in Victoria and is a memeber of the Welsh Assoication of Male Choirs - the only choir outside Wales accorded this honour. The Four Sopranas also performed with them. They are a dynamic group of women - Shirley Bowen, Joanne Hilliard, Trudi Mackenzie and Lorraine Pollard. They come from vastly different backgrounds, but have combined their talents to present a wide and diverse range of music from the world of opera to the popular songs of musical theatre.
