Karen has been a member and instructor at ADCV since the Club started in 1997. She enjoys the challenge of agility, having fun with her dogs and also trying to help others.

Karen is currently training Mr Murphy - a very cute, charming, cheeky (and rather spoilt!) Cavalier King Charles Spaniel X. Mr Murphy's favourite past-time, other than agility, is running, snoozing and looking after his vast collection of squeaky toys. His favourite spot in the world is sitting on Karen's lap or, if she is otherwise occupied, he enjoys having a snooz-le on her bed.

Mr Murphy is a bit of a character. He is a fun loving little fellow who really enjoys being the centre of attention. Murphy likes to 'speak' (on command, generally with a toy in his mouth!) but tends to be a bit shy when asked to do this in public.

Mr Murphy is a recycled dog (third home)- he moved in to Karen's place with Amber and their five puppies in October 2002. The puppies have since moved out but Murphy and Amber fitted in well and were invited to stay.

At the moment Mr Murphy seems to be really enjoying tearing around agility courses. Until recently Murph was fairly much 'a law unto himself' (hence the name) both in the ring and home, Karen is pleased he is actually starting to LISTEN!

Murphy and Karen entered their first NADAC trial in December 2004. Karen fully expected Murphy to run off into the sunset (and that's more or less what he did!) Mr Murphy has however quickly managed to achieve his first NADAC Jumping pass.
