Karen Hollis karenhollis@bigpond.com| When Karen rescued Amber and Murphy from the streets of Altona Meadows, little did she realize that she was about to become midwife and surrogate mother and that her canine family would soon increase from one to eight!
Three weeks after moving in, Amber gave birth to five adorable puppies - all girls. The pups became affectionately known as 'The Murphettes' While Karen did all the worrying and fussing, Amber seemed to instinctively know that her puppies were just fine. Although the vet couldn't work out how we could be so sure of exact parentage, we really didn't think it was that difficult to trace their family tree! |
