JAMES HOWE b. c1764 in England, married PHILLIPA HANCORN on 26th September 1791 at Welwyn, Hertfordshire, ENG. PHILLIPA HANCORN was the youngest child of BALDWIN HANCORN (c.1729 - 1795) and MARTHA GEACH . Baldwin changed his surname, from HANCORN to DUPPA in 1791 by Act of Parliament.
In 1795 James and Phillipa were living at Stoke on the Hoo Peninsular, in the county of Kent, England. In 1811 they moved into Hawkesbury Place in Southwark, Surrey (London). Phillipa died in 1811. James lived on in the house until 1820 and then in Hackney, Middlesex (London) where he died in 1846.
