| Our deepest sympathy to Leslie and family on the passing of Bill, one of Geelong's well known Reeds players who very suddenly passed away. Bill will be well remembered for his friendliness and broard smile, and was a most popular figure around Geelong and the jazz scene. Bill originally from Stawell moved to Geelong with his good wife Leslie some years ago and soon became very popular around the jazz scene playing at a number of Festivals, and until a few years ago Bill played Reeds with the George Halliday's band, One More George and as recent as this year played at the Halls Gap Jazz Festival with the group the Dixie Roosters. Bill will be sadly missed as he was well known and a very popular figure.
Condolences from all at the Geelong Jazz Club. |
