Praise for WaterWatch

It was a great pleasure
to be part of
the judging team for
the first East Gippsland
Water and
WaterWatch water
eisteddfod recently.
While I found the judging
difficult, it was a delight
to watch the creative
skills of the
children from many
East Gippsland schools
as they sang, danced
and acted out messages
of water conservation
and environmental
protection on stage
at the BARC.
Most impressive were
the stories where young
people confidently took
control, investigated
water wastage and set
about teaching adults
how to be more environmentally
aware!
The panel was impressed
by the many up
and coming stars of the
theatre who may be encouraged
to join our
performing arts group,
Production Line. It is a
great initiative to encourage
environmental
awareness and judging
by its success, may become
a regular event.
