About UsBendigo Australian Indonesia Klub, or BAIK, as we usually refer to ourselves, has been in existence in Bendigo for more than twenty years. (BAIK in Indonesian means good.)Our aims are similar to those of other Australia-Indonesia Associations throughout Australia. Our common interest is indonesia -the language, the culture, the people. Some of us are intrepid travellers, others were born in Indonesia or have family connections there, some are language teachers and others have a general interest in Indonesia. Generally we meet monthly, starting our meetings with Indonesian food brought by the members (and we have some magnificent cooks!) After the meal there is usually an activity which may have some connection with Indonesian culture or language. Our programs are many and varied, including games, sing-a-longs, competitions and trips. Most of all, we meet to enjoy each other's company and each other's food. |
