The March meeting was on Saturday March 25th at the home of James and Etty Lerk As usual, we begin with a meal provided by our members. There was an abundance of delicious Indonesian food. After the first course, James organised a game of charades, in two languages. Some of the phrases were particularly difficult. Kacang dinding ?!! Indeed, Pak James! However, our members overcame all challenges and solved each mystery. Well done, participants! While the adults were taxing their brains and their acting skills, Tricia Lerk led the children in a riotous game of Teepees and Indians. They appeared to be having even more fun than the adults! Later James again entertained us, this time with a Parcel Post, each clue identifying a different BAIK member. Much effort was expended in passing on the parcel before the music stopped. (Why, I'm not sure!) The back garden was an attraction for the small children before our meal and for a number of the men after it. Was Pak Heri's guitar-playing the reason, or just that it was a pleasant, quiet place to sit and talk? Thank you James and Etty, also Tricia, for making it such an enjoyable evening for us all. Your hospitality was much appreciated. |
