Our April meeting was again a Saturday evening meeting, this time at Diana Collier's home, on 28th. Thank you Diana. A small but enthusiastic band attended.
The evening's activity was a Guess The Baby competition. Photos of 25 of our members were displayed and guests were invited to guess their identity. Guess is an accurate description for some; many of our members have changed appearance dramatically since they were toddlers!
The photo identifaction was interrupted by the usual delicious Indonesian food. Then there was more time for puzzling over the most confusing faces. (Aaron, you looked very different without a beard! And was that one a photo of Sandra or Susan?)
Finally the correct answers were revealed, to exclamations of surprise and shock. The winners were Liana and Sandra with 18 of the 25 correct, then Etty with 17. A tie-breaker (a photo of Diana's mother as a young woman, with the question How old was she? ) put Liana ahead. As Etty had provided the prizes, she did not want to take the third prize home again, so Clayton, with 16 correct answers, received third prize.
We then all went back to eating, with dessert and coffee.
Thank you to all who contributed photos and effort to make the evening's activity such an enjoyable one. Particular thanks to Etty for the prizes, to Diana for the use of her house and to Des for acting as MC.
