| The Society is continually seeking to broaden its membership base and now seeks to reach people who are interested in military, colonial and civilian history. People wishing to join the Society can learn all manner of things from leather work, costume making to our history, learn military drills of the 1788 to the 1945 period.
All you need is an interest in what we do. ALL IN ALL, SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY. The Society's Calender of Events each year is now quite large, with re-enactments and displays being shown about every three weeks over the entire year right throughout Victoria. For example each year alone we perform historical re-enactments at the following places in period costumes. Warrnambool Maritime Museum Flagstaff Hill Xmas, New Years Eve and Easter Williamstown Festival Polly Woodside Fort Gellibrand [Williamstown] Sorrento Annual Couta Boat Races Tyabb Air Show Anzac Day Commemoration Ceremony at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital Anzac Day March and transport of Veterans Australia Day Yakkerboo Festival Pakenham Ballarat Military Tattoo Melbourne Antique Arms & Militaria Fair Army in Concert [Victoria Barracks] Werribee Park Garden Party Fort Queenscliff [Beating the Retreat] Mount Delancy Bastille Day Taminick [Militia encampment] HMAS Cerberus [Open Day] Commmemoration Events Film Premiers Plus numerous anniveraries/events during the year All in all a busy year with lots of fun and interest for all concerned.
