This Community Learning project will bring together many different organisations, some who have the interest of their own unique community and some who have a particular topical interest in the broader community. Learning will occur culturally, socially and organisationally. This project has the potential to provide a vital link and extend dialogue across many stakeholders in our community with a common goal for finding a solution to the issue of childhood obesity.
This project is an ideal opportunity to combine education through action learning to achieve an outcome. By being involved in a project that delivers information in a wide variety of formats from listening to guest speakers, touring local supermarkets and local food retail outlets, visiting school canteens, viewing films and videos, participating in practical demonstrations, cooking a meal, participating in discussions, going shopping, planning a family budget, serving hungry kids and getting into the garden you might wish you just had some time to sit down!
This website is still under construction as of 8/7/2006 make sure you keep coming back for more!
