Paul Haines

Paul Haines was raised in the ‘70s, in the wrong part of Auckland, New Zealand. After completing a degree in the frozen, drunken depths of Otago he wound up working in computers and was eventually lured by sex and money to Australia in the‘90s. Vowing to never call it home, he now lives in Melbourne with his wife and their mortgage.

He’s been published in NFG, Ideomancer, Aurealis, Orb, Agog!, Dark Animus, Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine and others. He's managed to make the Honourable Mentions list for Datlow's Year's Best Fantasy & Horror several times but still hasn't managed to actually get a story into the book.

Paul also survived the inaugural Clarion South writers workshop, and has won an Aurealis Award and two Ditmars (Aussie sci-fi awards) for his short fiction.

His first short story collection entitled 'Doorways For The Dispossessed' has been published by Prime Books.

Lately, he's been struggling to contain Brendan Duffy.
