"Helping to build supportive and self-reliant communities" : a Neighbourhood House Network established in 1981 by Neighbourhood Houses located in central, south and west Gippsland, Victoria.
A Neighbourhood House is a partnership between individuals, neighbours, government and private enterprise. It is created by community initiative and by sound, effective management. It helps to build a strong, independent community by encouraging people to thrive rather than just to survive. It is a step on the pathway of a lifetime for the individuals who participate in activities there.
