Compete or volunteer to assist in Australia's largest Club Class Sailplane competition to be held January 8 to 19 2007 at Benalla in one of the best thermals areas of Victoria.
We need you to make this spectactular event even hotter and more fun than last year! Compete with pilots from all over the globe. In 2006 the largest female contingent ever to compete in Australia was there in force and the many of the fellas were beaten by the brains and skill of lady pilots. In 2006 at least 10 pilots had experience of gliding competitions at a major international level, whilst some pilots were competing at a national event for the first time. Entrants have included U.K., German and Netherlands nationals. If you love flyimg, come and be a wing runner and join a crew. Many of the internationals who come to Australia borrow sailplanes and need a hand. Can you speak another language? You don't have to be a pilot to enjoy this competition and the comradeship and excitement of soaring. Call the Gliding Club Of Victoria now on Phone: +61 3 5762 1058 or Fax: +61 3 5762 5599 or email us on john_switala@ptp.com.au |

Australian Bureau of Meteorology What are the thermals doing at Benalla today?
Benalla is in the heart of where bushranger Ned Kelly used to roam. Ned was keen on holding up pubs.
