Illuminations
Illuminations is the story of Rose, who discovers a curious manuscript and of Ailinn and Guenloie, who appear in that manuscript.

My name in lights!
It will never happen again. I enjoyed it though - part of the astonishing US tour, which also will probably never happen again.

Secret Jewish Women's Business
The book that wrote itself in a great hurry when The Art of Effective Dreaming was done. I doubt I will find a publisher for it anytime soon, but I had a lot of fun doing the research. Here is, for instance, a tombstone to the Hamburger family provided by the Macdonald family, from Ballaarat.

| Gillian-the-overview: I am a writer, historian, educator and entirely confused individual. Most of my publications are fairly scholarly or very short. My first novel, Illuminations, can be obtained from online bookshops such as Barnes & Noble, in Canberra from Gaslight Books, from Smiths and from Dymocks Belconnen, in Sydney from Galaxy Books. In 2006 I plan to spend a lot of my time writing fiction (my work in progress currently seems to involve a large number of dinner parties with delectable cuisine), working on my non-fiction project (how modern fiction writers use the Middle Ages) and, of course researching the Middle Ages and teaching it to writers.
I can be found at quite a few science fiction conventions and otherwise can generally be found at my desk, swearing at my dying keyboard. |

More about me than you really want to know. The most popular page is, in fact, the Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild bibliography. I do have a page with all the links I could not be bothered putting in here, in case you are bored and want more webpages to click into.
Publisher of Illuminations, The Art of Effective Dreaming and other fine works. What is really wonderful about their page is that they have a lot of historical background for writers on it. I should know, since I was persuaded to write quite a bit of it!
Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild Lots of totally amazing people and one of the most supportive writers' groups imaginable, both online and offline. Watch out for the forthcoming cookbook!
The speculative fiction convention for writers and readers. In 2005 there will be at least 30 published writers attending. Canberra, the ANZAC Day weekend and a bunch of lunatic writers - what more could you ask for?
A happy zone for readers of all kinds.
If you want to know what I think, what I am doing today, or where I might be next week, this is the place to look.
Another great speculative fiction convention.
Food history thoughts - usually informative but very often quite wayward.
