Global Gateways
A study group made up of students and teachers from four Northern Victorian schools: Boort Secondary College, Cohuna Secondary College, East Loddon College and Pyramid College. We have developed a joint project called "Gateways 4 Sustainable Communities". Each school has an agricultural focus for their study, including sustainable practices. The Global Gateways group (5 students from each school, plus teachers) travelled to the Valley in California attended 2 schools, Golden West in Visalia and Hanford Hign School in Hanford, in November, 2008. They studied agriculture and sustainable practices in the California area as well as experiencing the differences in school and faily life in the US.
The staff and students who travelled to California were:
