Friends of Greenwich Bay Inc is a group of local people dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Greenwich Bay's coastal strip and hinterland.

For some years we have worked closely with staff from Hobsons Bay's Council on the re-vegetation of Sandy Point using plants indigenous to the locality. We are appreciative of assistance from local schools as well as St Catherine's School and the Migrant Resource Centre.

We are grateful for the generous and continuing support and advice of the Department of Sustainability and Environment and for considerable financial assistance from the Commonwealth Enviro Fund. Together with grants from organizations such as P & O Ports, these financial contributions have enabled us to achieve substantial plantings and to check erosion. We have also been able to install a community notice board adjacent to the site.

For further info on planting days/meetings etc please check this website under 'events'.
