This community is for the group in Whittlesea U3A who are researching their family history.
From here we will be able to put in information to help us to trace that elusive piece of information that will bring the puzzle together and will allow us to continue our search for our ancestors.
Events which are coming up to either celebrate family reunions or just genealogical groups will be here together with tips on how to search.
We are a self help group where all can contribute.

Whittlesea U3A Inc. is again sharing our skills and knowledge with our online service for members of Whittlesea U3A.
Whittlesea U3A Inc. What is it?
"Whittlesea" is the area we primarlily serve, 3 is the third age and U is for University, put it together and you have the Whittlesea University of the Third Age.
We are a multi cultural volunteer organisation, run and staff by volunteers from the senior community. All our leaders are volunteers who willingly give of their time and share their particular skills and interests with others.
The "Third Age" is described as the age of active retirement, which comes after the age of work and the age of youth.
Ther term "University" is used with license, as there are no academic requirements for membership, no diplomas and best of all NO EXAMS! We are a self help learning group. U3A's are to be found all over Australia and the world. Whittlesea U3A Inc is part of the Victorian U3A Network. We commenced in April 2002 with an enthusiastic committee, 30 members and 10 subjects.
We are now in our sixth year and our membership has increased and is increasing daily, as are our list of prespective classes.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for all people of the third age to learn, teach, share, make friends and give mutual support regardless of ethnicity, ability or disability in a warm environment
