OVER 50s ASSOCIATION - Genealogy
A Family History Group which is composed of mature aged people pursuing a common interest in researching their Family History. We are not interested in just compiling Family Trees but in also researching the Social History of the period in which our relatives lived.
We hold weekly meetings in the Lilydale Area and have a varied timetable. We go to Genealogy Libraries, the Public Record Office, other Genealogical Societies as well as having Guest Speakers. We also have regular computer sessions at Swinburne University. Our particular interest is in helping older people gain sufficient skill to start researching and documenting their own Family History.
Welcome to this site, it’s a new experience to be a part of mc2, hopefully as this particular moderator becomes familiar with the workings of the system and with your help and input it will become something worthwhile and advantageous as we try to unravel the stories of our ancestors. Don’t be afraid to put your genealogy questions forward in Forum and see what others have to say, maybe they can break down that brick wall, sign the Guestbook also, put a little about yourself so that others can get to know you.- Noel
