Inclusive package tour encompassing guided walks into Victoria’s ‘Endangered Old Growth Forests’, ‘Buchan Caves’, and the majestic ‘Snowy River’.

Detailed Description:
4 day adventure tour of the famous ‘Snowy River’ region. Walk amongst giant shining gums and rainforest in the largest continuous area of temperate forest left on earth. Breath taking views from rugged alpine ridges, Victoria’s deepest gorge, rare 'Native Pine' and 'Box' trees in 'Errinundra National Park' cool temperate rainshadow forest. Get down to earth in ancient caves etched out of limestone over hundreds of millions of years. Breath pure mountain air amongst rare and threatened wildlife, flora and fauna of Australia's 'Great Dividing Range'.


Brief Itinerary:
DAY 1 – Pick up from Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance. Discover Buchan’s geological history through museum and cave tours. Pub lunch. Overnight at ‘Ontos’ resort in comfortable share motel units with fresh farm organic dinner.
DAY 2 – Victoria’s deepest gorge is viewed from ‘Little River Gorge’ lookout, downstream from the falls. ‘McKillops Bridge’ spans 250m, at 60ft above the ‘Snowy River’. Traverse through ‘Errinundra National Park’, camp is made at Goongerah.(optional cabin accom. available, at extra cost) DAY 3 – Day spent exploring second largest area of temperate forest left on earth. Same camp.
DAY 4 – Scenic drive to Historic Orbost, Learn ‘value adding timber’ at ‘Forestech’. Concluding Lakes Entrance or Bairnsdale.
