Meets: 7:30pm - 9:30pm, Wednesday Nights

The Myall Venturer Unit runs each Wednesday night of the school term, and meet mostly at the Devon Meadows Scout Hall, but occasionally at other places.
Venturers is set up alot different to the earlier sections of scouting, where the leaders take on an advisory role to the to youth members who organise and run the nights. The unit is run by a body called the Unit Council, which is 5 elected members who form the ruling body of the unit. the unit council is responsible for the approval of badgework, allocation of funds, programming and discipline.
Members have the option of working towards the Queen Scout Award, the highest award that can be reached in the Venturer Section. Obtaining the award involves 300+ hours of work in achieving badges in 16 different sections. Don't let that put you off, its an optional thing!
Venturers attend many camps during the year including Anything Goes (AG), a fun 'do what you want' camp held in West gippsland each year in February; Hoadley Hide, a competition hike held over the easter weekend in which Venturer's attend stunts to gain points; and Vic Gathering (VG), another 'do what you want' camp held in Decmeber each year as a wind down after the year and school!
