Donald History and Natural History Group
The Donald History and Natural History Group was formed in 1963 -
To identify, classify, record and preserve items of value and interest which are relevant to the history and natural history of Donald and District.
To stimulate further interest in these activities and to make worthwhile information more widely known.
To preserve through trustees in a district archive, such items and objects as may be collected.
To promote the aims of the group amongst young people.
The Group is now host for the Donald District Archives, researching history of district's ancestors; the Court House Centre, where exhibitions are held periodically; the Agricultural Museum of old machinery used in the district; and the Old Police Camp, where the first Mounted Troopers lived and worked.
