Our Excursion to the Western Plains Zoo

Coonabarabran Guides travelled to Dubbo to be apart of the Mallee Fowl Cheque Presentation.
The day started with a Wide Game at the Zoo organised by Cobar district.
We took our bicycles as we could ride around doing the activities. The Wide Game was about being a journalist and taking lots of photos with our pretend cameras.
The girls were more interested in eating all the lollies.
We were lucky to see wonderful sights like the keeper feeding the echidna, wombat and meercats.
At about 4:30pm, we packed up and went back to the Guide Hall for a barbeque and campfire, organised by Dubbo Guides.
The next morning we rose early for an early morning walk at the zoo. Here we fed giraffes and were introduced to some of the animals in their night cages.
At 11am all the other Guides arrived and we were able to take part in the annual Mallee Fowl Cheque presentation and our Region's Guides Own conducted by Dubbo Guides.
