The Toy Library was formed in 1981 and opened in 1982 by a small group of parents in Shepparton who wanted to provide their preschool aged children with an entertaining and educational borrowing centre.
In the past few years our Toy Library has been well funded and is therefore well stocked with a wide selection of toys. The committee do its best to provided a family friendly environment where the kids can have fun and parents, grandparents and caregivers all feel welcome. Count Back Every toy is marked for “Count Back” and you will be required to have each toys pieces counted on borrowing and return to ensure that the toys is returned with the same number of pieces it had when it was borrowed. Lost or Broken Pieces The aim of the Toy Library is to have its toys used and usage may involve loss or breakage. Breakage due to wear and tear does not incur a fine. You are required to pay a deposit of $5.00 if a piece of a toy is missing, this is refundable if the piece is found at a later date. Annual Stocktake We have a stocktake in December of each year; each member is required to attend for a couple of hours. Voluntary Committee The Toy Library is a non-profit organisation run by a voluntary Committee made up of a minimum of 6 members. Meetings are held every 4 times a year. The Annual General Meeting is held every March. Termination of Membership Members are required to contact the Coordinator when ending their membership. |
