Cardross Progress Association
The CPA's mission is to increase social networks and fostering of goodwill within the community through stimulating interest and patronage of the Cardross Public Hall and its restoration for all users.
As a non-Council owned facility, the CPA committee is responsible for all the Hall's operations and upkeep. Our present goals are to return the Hall (rebuilt in 1936) to its former glory for the ongoing benefit of the whole community. This will be achieved through a range of community events, performances and festivals held at the Hall.
The CPA has been successful in obtaining a number of Mildura Rural City Council grants to date, since it became an Incorporated body in August 2001. The Annual Cardross Spring Show "revisted" was resurrected in 2001, with over 800 entries and attended by over 2000 people. It has now become an annual event held during October each year for showcasing local exhibits, produce, plants, collections, artwork and sculpture from people of all ages.
