The AURA Congress
The AURA Congress is the world's premier academic conference in the fields of cognitive archaeology, rock art research and palaeoart studies. It has so far been held in 1988 (Darwin), 1992 (Cairns) and 2000 (Alice Springs. At each of these events, 200 to 300 scientific papers were presented in around a dozen symposia. Between congresses, Inter-Congress Symposia are held in various parts of Australia.
