Anglesea Motor Yacht Club

LAST UPDATED: 12 September 2007

As a Yacht Club, Anglesea (at the start of the Great Ocean Road) has a fine reputation for having produced some of Australia’s best Hobie Cat sailors. Club member Ron McDonald won the Victorian and A.C.T. State Championships and the Australian Championship on a Hobie 17 and Aaron Worrall is a past World Hobie 16 Champion and was runner up World 18 Champion. Aaron has also won the Torquay-Anglesea Coaster. Another member, Tim Tutt is three times Australian Hobie Turbo Champion.

The Club welcomes men, women and families to join. If you don't have your own yacht, you can crew for someone else or help on race days or be a social member. There are some great social events on at the club house at Point Roadknight. So come on over and try sailing - or join the Club.
