Membership Information

There are 5 levels of membership:

• Full members
• Junior members
• Tertiary Student members
• Restricted members
• Social members

New and prospective members are given several sessions of coaching with an accredited coach to prepare them for game play.

An application may be made using the appropriate form, collected from the club by a person of no less than 12. After an application is approved by the Board, the applicant must pay the first year's subscription and joining fee within 28 days, in accordance with the Club Constitution, which will also be presented to the applicant upon the Board's approval. In recent years, new bowlers have only been charged the joining fee for their first "season" at the club.

A Full member is eligible to participate in Pennant, Club Championships and social games. They are free to practise, so long as there is a free rink not adjacent to an officially organised game. A full member is able to vote at all general meetings, and hold an office in the club. Fee for Full membership is $130 per annum.

A Junior member is anyone applying who is under the age of 18. They are eligible to bowl, but not to vote, hold an office, or purchase or consume liquor on the premises. Fee for a Junior membership is $30 per annum.

A Tertiary Student member is anyone under the age of 25 who is a full time student. They are not eligible to vote or hold an office. Fee for a Tertiary Student membership is $45 per annum.

A Restricted member is any member who does not wish to participate in championship games or pennant. They are not eligible to vote or hold an office. Fee for a restricted membership is $95 per annum.

A Social member is eligible to use any of the Club's facilities, except for bowling on the greens. They are not allowed to vote or hold an office. Fee for Social membership is $15 per annum.

The Joining fee is $25.

Each player is charged a green fee (usually $5.00) at each competition or social game.


All fees and charges are subject to change at the Annual General Meeting.
