CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR Terms 3 & 4 , 2009

Painting & Drawing: Mondays, 1pm - 3pm. Term 3: 10 sessions, 13 July - 14 September, $70/ $65 concession. Term 4: 9 sessions, 5 October - 7 December, $70/ $65 concession.
Come and enjoy the pleasure of sketching, drawing with charcoal or pastels, painting with water colours and other media. Materials provided.

Pilates: Thursdays, 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Term 3: 9 sessions, 23 July- 17 September, $110/ $100 concession/ $13 casual. Term 4: 10 sessions, 8 October - 10 December, $120/ $110 concession/ $13 casual.
Gentle exercise, suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. Taught by a qualified instructor.

Carlton Women's Singing Group: Wednesdays, 7.45pm-8.45pm, Terms 3 & 4. $75/ $65 concession. 8 sessions.
All women who enjoy singing and having fun together are welcome. No singing experience required, just an interest and love of song.

Creative Writing: Tuesdays, 6pm - 7.30pm. $110/ $100 concession. 10 sessions. Term 3: 14 July - 15 September. Term 4: 6 October - 8 December.
For beginners. Explore all aspects of creative writing from poetry to prose, short stories to stanzas, lyrics to limericks. Ever wanted to write a poem but have no idea where to begin? Have an idea for a short story but no idea how to write one? Want to take your poetry from the page to the stage? Need help with your novel? This is the class for you. For emerging, budding and
established writers who want to be challenged creatively.

GARDEN GROUP
You can help keep the CNLC garden looking great. Help with the vegetable garden, come along to the working bees, or generally help with the garden's maintenance. This Garden Group meets regularly on Wednesday mornings. Call first.

Writer's Workshop: Mondays, 10am-12.30pm. Explore creative writing through practice and discussion. By application. Waiting list applies.

Elderly Persons Morning Tea: Come along for a cuppa and some morning tea. Every week in the 530 Lygon Street Community Hall. All Carlton Seniors welcome, FREE.

Community Lunch: Thursdays, 12.30-1.30pm. $4, Share a meal, enjoy each other's company, hear about community activities and local information. This program integrates people with disabilities with the wider community. You can come at 11am and help prepare the meal and learn about nutritious, low cost cooking.

The Artists Way: a 12 week course designed to free every aspect of your creative life using The Artis Way by Julia Cameron.


Some courses @ CNLC are fee for service: these courses are run in response to demand and are not government subsidized. Bookings are required for these courses.

Bookings: a deposit of 50% of course fees is required to secure a place. Payment in full is due one week before the start of classes. Places cannot be held if full fees have not been received.

Refunds: for refunds to be considered, written requests must be received 7 days before the class commences and a minimum administrative fee of $10 will be charged. A full refund will be given (by cheque) if the class is cancelled by CNLC.

Concessions: evidence (photocopy) must be attached for concession fee to be approved if enrolment is by mail. Concession card can also be presented when enrolling or paying in person at CNLC.
