It is with great sadness that I announce I have been diagnosed with overactive thyroid glands, and that for the rest of my life I will be forced to take tablets every day - a deeply inconvenient and somewhat humiliating experience for a dignified cat such as myself. I think this means I am getting old. (21/6/2006)

If you like the above picture of me, you should see some of the cats at MyCatHatesYou.com.
I am feeling and looking a lot better now - my coat looks better, I have put on a little weight and I am no longer chasing my tail hyperactively. I still hate taking tablets though. For a while they were disguising it in a little milk, but I could taste it and at times refused, so they are manually forcing it down my little mouth and it is most unpleasant. They have to catch me first though and that's a fun game ...(17/9/2006)
For a while now I have been doing this over-grooming thing. I pull my fur out on my tummy and my back legs, which makes me look a little scraggy. The doctor treated me to see if it was an allergy, but that appears not to be the problem. So I think the next step is that he is going to conclude I am stressed. (Well, dah!) That will probably mean I have to go on the cat version of prozac. If that's the case, at least I won't be worried about having to take my thyroid tablets every day. In fact I'll probably start to look forward to it. I might even become a bit more sociable. (13/2/2007)
I am a lot better now. Guess what? Mum is giving me my tablet in a little bowl of milk again and I am COMPLETELY falling for it. Really, I don't even suspect a thing. So I am a good girl and drink it all up. My coat is much better too. (10/10/2007)
Now that the new baby is here I even beg for my medicine, morning and evening. Any bit of attention I can get is much treasured. (11/11/2008)
