Extraordinarily Beautiful Gardens at Huanggoushu Falls
The first thing you experience when going to the falls is walking through extraordinarily beautiful gardens. The combination of bonsai and rocks is breathtaking. Bonsai of all types, shapes and sizes greet the eye with white rocks of varying dimensions blending the landscape in pleasing relief. I would have liked to have spent a lot more time here wandering around absorbing the gently arresting beauty. However, as I was with a group of people I had to move at their pace. Pity.

Huangguoshu Falls
What a wonderful and captivating sight. Something for all the senses as the thunderous wall of water fell happily earthwards. Well worth the walk down to the bottom of the falls. However it was a very pleasant walk make even better by a well constructed path and being kept very clean and evironmentally friendly. I was most happy to see that smoking was not permitted (although the smokers may not have liked it).

Fun for the tourists....dressing up and being part of the minority people's culture and sense of fun.

Minority people's singing
A wonderful surprise...hearing the glorious voices of people of the minority groups. One of the things I delight in being here in China is the different cultures that minority people have...their love of life, their artistic expressions are a true joy. Often I have found their singing is incredibly beautiful. Their love of singing and dancing can be compelling.
