Visit More of China.....Baiyun Kite Festival

Hello....come with me now to some of the many places I have visted and enjoyed since being here in China.
Minority singers and dancers. How very colourful they are! These photos were not from the first place I visited but I like them so much I have made them the first of many pages of my China adventures. These photos were taken while visiting the ancient city of Qingyan in the Guizhou Province. This is the city where the imperial examinations where held. It is from these examinations the Emperor would choose officials and administrators.

One of the many enjoyable restaurants

This enchanting place is where I was taken for lunch and enjoyed a relaxing hour, recharging the batteries, ready for an afternoon of sightseeing.

The favourite colour of Chinese culture

Everywhere you look you can see red, red, red. This marvellous rich colour portrays something of the Chinese people's love of vividness. The city of Qinqyan (like much of China) is an experience of the senses, where in wandering through the markets you can gain an impression of the extraordinary diversity of the people and their ways as well as experience many wonderful aspects that make up the Chinese celebration of life.

Delicious bacon!

The varieties of foods here seem endless. So many varieties of dried foods and grains. So many and so much food to enjoy. Got to tell you that this bacon (you see hanging here) is really delicious.

Something for the children too...
