Buddy Walk - Australia is a National Event held in cities and towns across the country to raise the level of understanding and inclusion of people with Down syndrome in all aspects of social and family life.

This October, Buddy Walk - Australia will be a national  celebration ever held in this country for people with Down syndrome, their families, friends, work colleagues, school mates

All communities across the nation will be able to join in Buddy Walk - Australia, celebrating the achievements of people with Down syndrome while supporting and understanding their needs and abilities.

You can hold a Buddy Walk anywhere that you can walk! A Buddy Walk can be as small or as large as you like – it’s the spirit in which it’s held that counts. It could be a walk around your local park or oval followed by a casual picnic. It could involve your school, children’s service, or just a group of families and friends. email buddywalk@dsansw.org.au

Buddy Walk is not a race and is not competitive – it is all about taking part. It’s also a great chance to raise vital funds to ensure all children and adults with Down syndrome in Australia reach their full potential.

Children and adults with Down syndrome, their families, friends, carers, schoolmates, workmates, and the whole community can join in, show their support, make new friends and have a great time!
