THE LOST CITY

On a little island far away lived a frog who lived on his own. He didn't have much to do every day so he decided to hop to the lake and sit there for the day. The day was beautiful and hot so he thought of going for a swim but he hadn't been in the lake for a swim before and he didn't know how deep it was also he thought if I go in, I might not be able to swim but if I don't go in, I will never know.
After five minutes he decided to go in and he was fine. He could swim and he yelled happily out fantastic. He swam all day in the lake but suddenly he had a big problem , he put his body on the log to have a rest for a while. While he was resting, he could hear something behind him so he turned around and saw another log coming to meet the other logs, he tried to push back to get out of the way but he was trapped in between the four log. The logs were locked together with some chains. The frog said to himself, I am here for life. After ten minutes or so he heard someone coming along in a fishing boat, so the frog yelled out, HELP! HELP! HELP ME PLEASE! The boat man came over to him and said, My name is Joe. What is your name? Well. My name is Mr. Barry Hop. You can just cell me Barry if you like. What seems to be your problem Barry? replied Joe. Barry told Joe, I'm stuck. Joe looked in his boat but he couldn't see anything to help him so he asked if he have anything on the bank? Barry thought for a moment and he said, Yes I have some rods in my hut in a big voice. Follow the red flowers over there said Barry with his eyes looking at his hut. Oh I can see it replied Joe. Joe hopped out of his boat when he reached the bank and went to get the rods. While he was gone, Barry felt something pulling on his feet, he looked down and saw a long big fish was under him, he screamed. The next thing he heard was Joe calling, I have the rods. The big fish had his feet in his mouth and was about to consume his feet when luckily Joe was back and he had a knife in his hand, he thrust it at the fish and he let go. Joe looked down and saw the fish going down into the sea. The next thing Barry saw was Joe going down and after a few minutes he came back up with the dead fish in his hand and ask Barry if he wanted lunch so Barry said, Yes, I'll love some so as soon as soon as Barry was free they went to the hut to cook the fish for lunch, Ahh said both together.
When they were eating lunch, they didn't talk, but after Joe looked at Barry and asked, What are you doing here on your own? Well, about two months ago I was playing with my Mummy and Father near the lake and a ship was coming along so we went to watch the ship go by but we didn't know they wanted to catch frogs. My Father told me to wait here while Mummy and Father went to the river to meet them. I looked at the people in the ship and I saw two people had shot guns, I yelled out to Mummy and Father to come back. I want back to the hut because I was scared. I heard a gun go off two times so I waited for the ship to go. When I couldn't hear the ship any more I decided to see if my Mummy and Father was fine but when I got there I couldn't see them anywhere but I saw Mummies bag with blood on it. I know they had been shot and they were taken away by them in the boat said Barry in a sad voice. He started to cry so Joe said, Don't worry I'll look after you with his arms around him. What are you doing here? asked Barry. I am going on a journey to find the lost city of the Fishes. Joe went to his boat to get a map. When he came back Barry asked, Where have you been? Joe looked at him in a funny way so he replied, I went to get a map to show where I am going. He unrolled his map so Barry came to looked at his paper which was on the ground. This is a map of the lost city of the Fishes. Oh I see. I like to know how you know the city is lost Joe? asked Barry. No. The city is not lost. It's just the name of the city replied Joe. Why are going there? Well I am going to the middle of the city and dig for gold replied Joe with a smile on his face. Lucky you said Barry excitingly. Did you want to join me on my journey? asked Joe. Yes I'd love too if I can have some of the gold too. If we find any! replied Joe.
The rest of the day they talked and Joe asked if Barry wanted to stay the night, he said Yes so they went to bed early and had a great night sleep.
The next day was beautiful and hot, Barry asked if he wanted to take anything? I don't know replied Joe. Barry went into his hut and saw he had a shovel and a bucket. You will need a shovel and a bucket.
When Joe was ready, they went to the boat. Barry asked himself, Will I come back here soon? He started to feel sad inside and before he hopped into the boat, he spent something looking then he said to Joe, Let's go in a sad tone.
So off they went on the journey to find the lost city. They went along the lake with not a problem in the world but after one hour they had trouble because the calm river suddenly became rough rapids. They were tossed about from one side of boat to the other. Then the boat turned over and the boat broke in half, all the things were gone. Still in the water Barry and Joe were not together, Joe yelled out, Help! I can't swim so the next thing Joe saw was Barry coming to meet him and Barry helped him to the bank, Joe was happy again when they reached the land.
When they were safe on land Joe asked, What will we do now? I don't know replied Barry.
They went for a walk and after awhile they stopped because they heard voices so they went to see what was going on. They had walked for awhile, when they saw some people and went to meet them and asked, Who are you? in a loud voice. Barry and Joe introduced themselves and Barry asked the same question to the man. I'm Chief Makuba of the Aboriginal Tribe the Cambukas. Welcome to Aboriginal Land. Want to go to my Hotel and spent the night with us? Barry looked at Chief Makuba with a smile and said, We will go to your Hotel and stay the night. So they follow Chief Makuba to the Hotel.
That night they asked Chief Makuba about buying a boat. I have lots of boats here and you don't have to pay me because it is my gift to you for staying here tonight replied Chief Makuba. Thank you said Barry with a smile.
After tea Chief Makuba showed Barry all the boats, he had. What one do you want to take? Barry went around the room to look at each boat because he had about fifty boats in his shed. Barry asked, What is the best boat to go on long trips? looked at Chief Makuba who went to one boat and said, Here is a boat for you and it is very good for a long journey. Before Barry said anything he went over to look in. When he looked inside the boat he asked, What is this switch? This is a boat with a roof which comes over you when you push this switch to on. Also it is very good to go though rapids because when you see a rapid you push the switch and the switch and the roof comes over you so you can't come out replied Chief Makuba. When he was telling Barry about the boat, Barry hopped into the boat to look around so Joe come to see Chief Makuba and said, We'll take it. Thank you. They were happy people that night so Barry and Joe had a good nights sleep.
They woke up to a beautiful and warm day so Barry went to see Chief Makuba to say Good bye and to thank him for everything. When he came back Joe was ready to go so they got the boat into the water.
The next thing they heard was Chief Makuba running toward them with two shovels, You forgot your shovels and buckets. When he came to the boat he looked at Barry and said, I hope you finish your journey with a smile on his face. Barry and Joe hopped into the boat and started the boat so they were on the move again to look for the Lost City of the Fishes.
About noon Joe stopped the boat because he wanted to looked at the map, he looked up with a smile and told Barry that were close to it. How close? asked Barry. Around this next bank and we find the Lost City of the Fishes. Both of them were excited and relieved to find the Lost City of the Fishes.
When they were on land Barry saw a sign saying, This way in big writing so he unrolled the map and he found the same sport on the map so they went the way the sigh was pointing. When they got there, Barry looked at the ground and the ground was covered in sand so they started to dig.
After five hours they were still digging when Barry's feet touched something he yelled out to Joe to come. When Joe got there, he asked, What is your problem Barry? Barry looked up and said, I think I found gold down here. Please put the ropes around the bucket and lower it down and I will fill it up with gold and you pull the bucket and lower it down and lower another bucket down and so on.
After a hour they had all the gold they needed. They put it into the boat so when they were travelling Barry put the roof over the boat to be safe. They saw a rapids coming and there was a water fall. When they went toward the rapids Barry said, I hope Chief Makuba's was right in a worried voice. After they went down the water fall and the rapids they were still in the boat with the gold. They were very happy with the boat.
They went back to the main land and went to the town centre to find a man who work out how much you have in gold. Inside was a man sitting at his table, when the man saw them coming, he said, Hello, my name is Peter. Can I help you? Yes I would like to know how much I have here? asked Joe. Barry handed the gold to Peter so Peter went to weigh the gold and came back saying, It weighs about $10.000. Barry looked happily surprised when Peter told him how much. Peter gave Barry the money so Barry and Joe went outside, they were jumping up and down with happiness.
They went to Barry's house to celebrate. When they got there Joe looked around and said, This house is nice. This house is nice. Thank you replied Barry.
That night Barry asked, Do you think you would like to live here with me? Yes I would like to Barry replied Joe.
The next day they went back to get Joe's thing's, now neither of them would be lonely any more.
