My trip to Werribee May 28th – 29th, 2005

Last weekend I went on camp with a group called GreatBreak Away Weekend. The camp went to Kimgara Park Equestrian Center in Werribee for a night. That Saturday Morning we had to meet at Nunawarding to get picked up by 9am. That particular morning we slept in and rushed round like silly goats to get there on time, which we did. Everyone one there ready to go except for one person. He came at 10am. Everybody was in the van when the other person came so when he arrived and got into the van we headed off down the West Gate Bridge toward Werribee where we stayed for the night. When we arrived there it started to rain so I decided to stay in the bus because the front entrance had stairs onto a patio, then we found out by the people who ran the place that they have a side entrance with a ramp to the inside of the house. It stops raining when I get out of the van. Just for me I thought... We got to know the place inside then decided to go the local pub for lunch. When we finished our lunch which was a nice lasagna for me some people were getting a bit up tight (time for some medicine I think) so we went back to the van. I went passed the drive in bottle shop to buy some drinks for the night. I watched some of the footy (we lost) when we came back to the house and then I decided to go outside for a bit to look at the horses and have a look around because the place where we were staying at was a big equestrian place. They didn’t have paths as such so it was very bumpy driving round. We have had a very mild winter up until this weekend it was freezing; they had only a strip heater in the house. That night I lost my blankets during the night so I was freezing in the morning. Next day everyone else went for a horse ride but I stayed back to have a late breakfast and just look around. I drove round to the place where they were riding and watched them. They seemed to be enjoying themselves while riding on the horses and also I enjoyed watching them. After we had a sausage in bread or two for me, we decided to go to the open plane zoo and got on their bus to drive round out there which was very interesting seeing the animals roaming free, we saw the baby rhino and the goat playing in the fields, before heading back for Nunawarding at 5:00pm. I had a good time though with my careers Karl, Corey, Kathy, Kylie and Erin.
