Botanica Park Neighbourhood Community
A forum for people who live in Botanica Park, Bundoora in the city of Whittlesea to interact and discuss issues regarding their neighbourhood.
This is also an opportunity for all ratepayers of the East Ward
to have their voice heard in their community and be represented
by their local councillors, Cr Mary Lalios, our current Mayor,Cr Norm Kelly and Cr Sam Allessi .
As a community we have the capability & the capacity to affect change, but before that can take place, we need to be able to hear each others concerns, our history, our story.
According to Schoeberg & Rosenbaum(1980) defenition of community capacity;
"A capable or viable community is one in which its residents work together to influence various aspects of the local social order, in which residents set goals for collective life, and in which they have the ability to carry out work to accomplish these goals."
So, I invite you to be a participant in this community adventure in your local area.
