BLine – Getting around in Bendigo and Loddon
Working together to develop a coordinated, robust and sustainable approach to resolving transport issues within Bendigo and Loddon.
The Transport Connections Project will develop partnerships between providers of private, public and community transport on four key initiatives to address transport disadvantage identified in the Loddon and Bendigo municipalities:
1. Develop a coordinated approach to transport between the small communities in the area; as well as between small communities and Bendigo
2. Raise community awareness and use of existing transport services
3. Increase access to transport services by community members with limited mobility
4. Increase efficiency, flexibility and coordination of existing transport services
The project will run from June 2006 to June 2010 and be driven by two part-time Community Transport Coordinators – one working in each municipality.
