The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is a voluntary organisation established to encourage and support mothers who wish to breastfeed their babies and to promote skilled and loving mothering, while creating in the community an awareness of the importance of human milk..
We educate and support mothers, using up-to-date research findings and the practical experiences of many women. We work to influence out society to acknowledge breastfeeding as the norm for infant nutrition.
The Bairnsdale/Far Eastern group services the mothers, babies and families, as well as the community of East Gippsland. Contacts with other groups within Australia can also be provided. Our services, including breastfeeding counselling, are provided free of charge. However, subscribers to the association do receive added benefits whilst helping the services to continue.
