| The Castlemaine Bowling Club Inc. was founded in 1886 and is located at 17-27 Berkeley Street Castlemaine.
The initial Greens were located in the Castlemaine Botanical Gardens and after many years relocated to premises in Lyttleton Street. Moving to the present site in the 1920's. The Club is affiliated with Bowls Victoria Inc., Bendigo Campaspe Bowls Region Inc., and Bendigo Bowls Division Inc. Also affiliated with Croquet Victoria and the North District Croquet Association. The Club facilities include:- 9 rink Pro-Plus Needle Punch Green for Bowls. 1 full sized Croquet Lawn for Association Croquet or it can be divided into 2 Lawns for Golf Croquet. Club is fully licensed and is Responsible Serving of Alcohol compliant. (MEALS ARE NOT PROVIDED). ALL VISITORS/NON MEMBERS MUST SIGN THE VISITORS BOOK. SEASON PLAY TIMES) CROQUET:- Wednesday and Saturday is Association Croquet. Thursday is Golf Croquet 9.30 am start. Other Days Lawn available for practice from 10.30am (approx). BOWLS:- Monday:- Green Open. (Pennant Days 10.00 am) Tuesday:- Green Open. Wednesday:-Social Bowls 12.30pm. Thursday:- Social Bowls10.30am. Friday :- Green Open Saturday:- Social Bowls from 12.30pm. - Pennant Season Green available for Roll ups from 10.30am Pennant starts at 1.30pm. Sunday :- Green Open by arrangement. |
