ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION:
The Mildura District Badminton Association Inc. has been established in the district for over 30 years and operates Monday evenings at the St Joseph?s College Stadium, (Cnr 11th St & Riverside Ave), Mildura, beginning at 7 pm (winter) 7.30 pm (summer). OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION: 1. To promote badminton in the Sunraysia area. 2. To develop the skills of all players within the Association. 3. To keep costs to a minimum. GENERAL INFORMATION: Competition follows the school terms for practical reasons, i.e. player availability, seasonal requirements, etc. Play continues throughout the year, except during school and public holidays. The major competition is Winter Graded Teams, which runs during School Terms 2 & 3: social games are also available during winter. Summer badminton consists of social sections and is played during School Terms 1 & 4. The Association aims to encourage junior players from ages 8 to 13 years. Our Association participates in inter-club competitions, state and inter-state competitions and encourages participation in the annual Sportslink Inter-Schools Badminton Championships. New players are welcome to join any section of our association?s activities and are assured of a game within their ability and standard.
