AUSTRALIAN LEUKODYSTROPHY SUPPORT GROUP INC

The Australian Leukodystrophy Support Group (ALDS) is a voluntary, non-profit organisation with a mission to provide assistance and information to those affected by Leukodystrophy and to support research into Leukodystrophy.

OUR INTERACTIVE MC2 WEBSITE FOR THE ALDS

The ALDS has established a Community in the My Community Connected (MC2) program. We are listed in the Category of Health & Families (Illness & Disease). A Website for our Community with a link to our already established Website (www.alds.org.au) has been created. Access to the Community is open to the public, we may decide later to restrict access to registered members of the Community. This ALDS Community site is interactive and allows members to communicate in a very open and efficient manner.

The established ALDS Website that you are familiar with (www.alds.org.au)still exists but it provides information only. It is presently in the process of being redesigned and updated.

The interactive nature of the mc2 Community will give the ALDS the ability to encourage members and others to:
contact each other easily
provide a forum for people to have their say on issues
post and download information to and from a central site
access at any time updates on what the ALDS is doing without waiting for the next newsletter or special mailouts
establish special interest subgroups which may relate to one form of Leukodystrophy

The success of the MC2 Community depends on people subscribing for membership to become part of the ALDS Community.

You need to register initially, all you need is an active email address, a hotmail address will do.
Then you can login and subscribe to ours or any other mc2 community. Logging in is what you do each time you use the mc2 website (once you are a registered member). This is when you enter your email address and a password in the member's login.
Subscribing is what you do when you join a group or community on the mc2 website after you have logged in.
