SMRacfe (Southern Metropolitan Region Adult Council of Further Education) is a place for council member to stay in contact with each other between meetings.
Regional Council exists to support the provision of adult, community and further education, in accordance with the Adult, Community & Further Education Act 1991 through;
• activities which develop and improve ACE (Adult, Community Education) in the region.
• collection of information and provision of advice on ACE needs.
• promotion of ACE to Government and the general community.
• allocation of Government funds to its network of community-based, TAFE and AMES providers via planned, equitable and open processes.
• monitoring the delivery of funded programs and provider performance.
