Renovations to Aberfeldie Bowls Club Pavilion commenced March 2003 and were completed early September 2003 in readiness for season 2003-2004. A Gala weekend celebrated the opening of this season, with the pavilion officially opened on September 5, by Mrs. Judy Maddigan MP, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
The needs of all members had been considered and the building has been constructed to be sympathetic to those needs and in keeping with the charm and character of this precinct of Essendon.
Aberfeldie is a bowling club with a great future, and a colourful past. The Club was founded as the Aberfeldie Bowling, Croquet and Tennis Club in an enthusiastic meeting on the 16th of March 1910. From that time onwards, the members have enjoyed camaraderie in this small club and hospitality is as warm as ever.
The Club is now planning for its Centenary in 2010, and individual and corporate sponsors are being sought. For this promotion, please register your interest on the feedback form on this page.
Annual fees for the year 2005 - 2006 are $110 for full membership, juniors $38.75, and social members $25. Green fees $5.
Sets of bowls may be borrowed on site at no cost.

available.
Summer is the evening bowls season at Aberfeldie for both Night Pennant
and Twilight Social Bowls.
During the cooler months, come to the Club and enjoy a game of short mat
bowls, indoor bias bowls, darts or billiards and snooker.
When visiting the Club, please enquire about other social events.
RVBA Club Open Day is scheduled for October 23, 2005. Don't wait until
then, events at Aberfeldie will be held through Autumn, Winter and Spring,
and members of the public are most welcome. Contact the Club to confirm events.
