Monitoring your Shared Files

If a member uploads a file to your SHARED FILES (previously known as "Newsletters") that contains inappropriate content, or is not relevant to your community's needs & interests, you can delete it. The email notification about the new shared file will tell you who uploaded it, so you can contact them to explain why you're deleting their file. If you don't tell them why, they may just upload it again...

Tip:  if you click on Shared Files you'll only be able to access an existing file, or upload a new file [not delete an existing file]

To DELETE a file uploaded to your shared files:

  1. click on Group Files [bottom left option, when a moderator is logged in, and in a group]. You should then arrive at the mc2 File Management System.

  2. Clicking on + will display the contents of each folder. Clicking on - will collapse the folder again.

  3. click on your Group Webspace name, or - to open the folder thus:

  4. click on shared_files

  5. click in the checkbox(es) next to the name of the relevant file(s)
    File listing

  6. click on DELETE (found at the top of the page):
    Group Files Grey Buttons

  7. click on YES:
say YES to delete selected files

  8. click on (found at the bottom of the page) to return to your mc2 listing of communities ("My Communities")
