Monitoring your Forum
If a member posts a message to your FORUM that contains inappropriate content, or that belongs in a different area of your community (eg. the NOTICE BOARD), you can delete it.
To DELETE a message posted to a forum:
- click on Forum (found on the left-hand side, when in your group)
- click on
(found to the left of the message)
- click on YES - DELETE IT
- click on
to go back to the forum page
Tips:
 Warning - if the message you delete is the start of a thread (new topic of discussion), deleting it can also delete all of the replies posted to it!
- Once deleted, data cannot be retrieved - there is no separate backup archive of entries
- You cannot Edit Forum entries, only delete them.

Be aware that Forum entries generate email. Once sent, email cannot be recalled, cancelled or deleted, even though the message may be removed from the Forum by deleting it. Because of this, resist the temptation to make minor corrections to a posting by deleting the original and resending it, unless crucial. Members will not appreciate multiple mailings on the same topic. |
