Join a Community (Online Group)

To become a member of a community, you need to JOIN it. First, however, you need to FIND a community of interest. There are several ways to do this:

Search mc² Groups Search - use the search box to find a community you wish to join. This will search the title and description of each community [not its contents]. N.B. If you wish to search the whole Internet [not just mc²], then go to the external links page. If you are looking for Help with using mc², use the search slot on the mc² Help page. How to Join (Subscribe)

Once you have found a community you wish to join:

click on the community name [from the search results listing] to go to the community's Group Info page
join to your chosen community by clicking on the "join" link, at the bottom left of each community's info page:
JOIN this Group?

Once you join as a member, you can chat with other members of that community, engage in the forum etc. You may wish to set your email notification preferences via the My Communities view (the view you get when you Login). In this way, you can elect to receive email notifications when new forum entries, polls, events, Shared Files etc. are posted.

N.B. Some groups are for members only, so your membership may need to be approved by the group owner or a moderator, before you can join. You should be notified by email when your membership has been approved.

To leave a group you have joined, just login, enter the group, then click on Unsubscribe [bottom left]. See also: How to unsubscribe from a mailing list for an mc2 community
