Each group has a photo gallery feature, listed on the left of the screen, when in any group, above the Events link. Any group member can add photos to share with other group members - just remember to create an album to put them in first! Also note that all photos & albums must be approved by the group owner/moderator before they will appear. Also be aware of Copyright.

How do I Add a Photo?
First, you must create an
album to put your photo in:
- Log into mc²
- Go to your Group
- click on Photos [left hand side of screen, above Events]
- click on Create Album [towards top left]
- complete Album Name & description
- browse your hard drive for a photo image for the cover of your album
- unless you are a group owner/moderator, you will then need to have to album approved, before it will appear
Once you have created an album to put your photos in, and it has been approved, click on Add Photo, on the My Photos menu bar.
You can browse your hard drive for images.
- Note that large images will be automatically resized, to save webspace
- "Large" is defined as over 100K filesize and with a height or width in excess of 700 pixels
- Note that, for the auto-resizing to work, image file names must be 20 characters or less. If you use a longer filename, the image will not upload. To rectify this, just rename the image file on your computer with a shorter name, then try uploading it again.
- Note also that only jpg, gif and png web image files are accepted

Firstly, you must be an
owner/moderator to
delete photos [or
edit or
approve them]
- Log into mc²
- Go to your Group
- click on Photos [left hand side of screen, above Events]
- you can delete an entire album [including all the pictures in it] by clicking on delete, next to the album you wish to remove [or you can edit or suspend it]
- or, you can find an individual photo in an album, then just delete that image, by clicking on the delete link, under the image in question
Approving Albums
- Albums cannot be added to the Group Photos section unless they are first Approved by an owner/moderator
- An email will alert owner/moderators that an Album submission needs to be reviewed for approval
- An owner/moderator should then login to their group
- click on Photos [on the left, under Group Files]
- click on Albums Pending Approval [top of Group Photo Gallery page, center of menu]
- click on Edit, to change the album name, description, or cover photo
Note that, to become visible to members, an album still needs to be approved after editing
- click on Approve to make the album visible to members, and allow photos to be added to it
- click on Delete if the album is not appropriate, duplicated , or the photo is a copyright infringement.
Approving Photos
Once an album has been approved (see
Approving Albums), photos can be added to it. Each photo still needs to be
Approved by an owner/moderator, before it becomes viewable in the gallery.
- Photos cannot be added to albums unless they are first Approved by an owner/moderator
- An email will alert owner/moderators that a photo submission needs to be reviewed for approval
- An owner/moderator should then login to their group
- click on Photos [on the left, under Group Files]
- click on Photos Pending Approval [top right of Group Photo Gallery page]
- Note, you cannot Edit photos, just Approve or Delete
- click on Approve to place the photo in the album and make it visible to members
- click on Delete if the photo is not appropriate, duplicated, or a copyright infringement.
N.B. the only way to Edit photo details is to make sure you have a copy of the image on your hard drive, then upload it again, with correct details.
