TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol)
The set of rules that lets computers communicate with each other on the Internet. eg. if you are using a PC running Windows XP, connecting to an ISP running UNIX which, in turn, attaches to the Internet, and all three are running TCP/IP (which they are), then they can all talk to each other.

Terabyte
Measure of computer data storage capacity. Equals one thousand billion bytes, or a thousand gigabytes. See bytes

Text Only
A way to turn images off, i.e. navigate a website without waiting for images to load. This may be useful if using a slow Internet connection, or if you have a sight disability and wish to browse without images being displayed. At the top right of every mc² page there is a link to TEXT ONLY, which enables you to prevent images loading. See also: Images

Trojan - Trojan Horse
A Trojan horse is what seems to be legitimate software, but does something destructive when run. One of the most insidious types of Trojan horse is a program that claims to rid your computer of viruses but instead introduces viruses onto your computer. More on Trojans. See also Spyware
