Online
Being "online" means being connected to the Internet. To work online you must have created a connection to the Internet via a network, or by connecting with a modem or broadband connection to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Operating System (OS)
The most important program that runs on a computer. Every general-purpose computer must have an operating system to run other programs. Operating systems perform basic tasks, such as recognizing input from the keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files and directories on the disk, and controlling peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers.
Sometimes referred to as a "platform", the most common OS for personal computers are Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac. Linux is also increasing in popularity. UNIX is an OS that runs on larger, mainframe computers, rather than PCs.
Outlook
Outlook Express is a popular Microsoft software program used to send and receive email (only POP mail, not Webmail). Often provided bundled with a Microsoft operating system &/or browser. Outlook is a more comprehensive office management tool from Microsoft.
Owner
Whoever is logged in when a Group / Community is created at mc² automatically becomes the Group Owner. Owners have rights and responsibilities for approving members & content, maintaining the group, and ensuring everyone follows the Code of Conduct. The owner can transfer ownership to another member, if this becomes necessary.
