Copying (Downloading) an Image

Copying an image from the Web to your Computer

If you see a photo or image on a Webpage that you wish to use, you can download a copy of it to your hard drive:

1. Right click on the image [try the ballons, above]

2. Select Save Picture As... [left click]
   

3. A Save Picture dialogue box opens
   

4. Make careful note of where the image file will be saved on your computer
5. Make changes to the save location or file name, as appropriate
6. Click on the "Save" button
7. You now have a copy of the image stored on your computer's hard drive
   
8. You can either upload this to a new destination, or rework the image in a graphics program, such as Photoshop
